Sudan Partakes in Arab Sat 42nd Session in Algeria

Khartoum, Mar. 31 (SUNA) The Minister of Information, Communications and Information Technology, Hassan Ismail, headed to Algeria on Sunday, leading the Sudan’s delegation taking part in the 42nd session of the General Assembly of the Arab Satellite Organization (ARABSAT) in Algeria with the participation of representatives of Arab countries.
The ministry’s undersecretary, ambassador Al-Obeid Ahmed Moruah, accompanied by Eng. Mustafa Abdel Hafez, the Director of the Telecommunications and posts’ Regulatory Authority, have participated in the work of the 165th meeting of the ArabSat board of directors on 29-30 of current March chaired by Dr. Nasser Al-Hujailan the Saudi Arabia Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.

The agenda of this session includes the adoption of the annual report of the organization’s board of directors, the accounts of the organization for the fiscal year 2018, in addition to the election of the new members of the board of directors and the selection of the place and date of the next session of the assembly.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arab Sat) was established in 1976 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
