WB expects Sudan GDP to increase by 3.1 percent

Khartoum, 10 June (SUNA)- The World Bank said it expects the Sudan Gross Domestic Product GDP to increase by 3.1% next year in line with its forecast for the sub-Saharan African countries

The bank in its June report said the GDP would continue to go up for the coming two years, going up from current 2.6% to 3.1% next year 2019 and up to 3.5% in 2020

The bank attributed this to the increase in mineral production, stability in the process o minerals which will boost the economic activities in mineral exporting countries, improvement of agricultural conditions and investment in infrastructure in the whole region.
