Kabbashi Meets British Special Envoy to Sudan

Khartoum, Aug. 6 (SUNA) The chairman of the Political Committee of the Transitional Military Council (TMC), Lt. Gen. Shams- Eddin Kabashi, met Tuesday at the Republican Palace with the British Special Envoy to Sudan, Ambassador Robert Ferozer.

The meeting discussed the agreement reached by the TMC and the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) last Sunday.
The British envoy said in a press statement following the meeting, that Britain welcomes the agreement, indicating the desire and readiness of his country to make this stage successful through supporting the Sudanese people and the transitional government, describing the meeting with Lt. Gen. Kabbashi as fruitful.
 The British envoy has expressed happiness to visit the Sudan at this moment, which he described as important in the the Sudan’s history, where most of the Sudanese parties were able to meet in a unified stance, and through which they were able to reach this agreement, in addition to the positive attitude and feeling formed by the Sudanese people in support to the transitional period arrangements, and their readiness to move towards forming Democratic government.
