Minister of Culture Appreciates Sudanese Turkish Relations

Khartoum, Sep 4 (SUNA) – The Minister of Culture, Al-Tayeb Hassan Badawi, has appreciated the deeply-rooted cultural relations between Sudan and Turkey, prasing firmness of the bilateral relations in all sectors.

This came when he received in his office the Director the of Turkish Cultural Center, Fahri Yılmaz, on the occasion of his assuming to office in presence of General Secretary of Cultural Heritage and Languages, Dr. Assad Abdul-Rahman, and Foreign Relations Director, Mohamed Jubara.

The minister said that Sudan and Turkey have a joint history, appreciating the role of the leaders of the two countries for consolidating the bilateral relations and make strong ground for cooperation and coordination in the cultural industries, cinema and drama.

Badawi also appreciated role of theTurkish Cultural Cnter in boosting the cultural movement in the two countries and its attending to the conference of Islamic states ministries which will coincide with Sennar Capital of Islamic Culture and suggested formation of a committee chaired by the Foreign Relations Director at the ministry and membership of the General Secretary of Cultural Heritage and Languages and Director of theTurkish Cultural Center for more coordination, calling for more concern with the teaching of Turkish the language and Arabic languages in Turkey.

Meanwhile Yılmaz expressed his happiness for working at Sudan, pledging to cooperate and coordinate with the concerned authorities in Sudan for holding joint cultural activities, exhibitions, forums and workshops.
