Khartoum, 10 Jan. (SUNA)- The Federal Minister for Health, Bahar Idris Abu Gharda, has discussed with the Sudan ambassador to Geneva, Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail, areas of cooperation between the Sudan and a number of friendly countries.
The meeting discussed the cooperation opportunities, especially with countries that have shown desire to cooperate with the Sudan in area of health, particularly the EU countries.
The cooperation includes medical equipment provision, pharmaceutical manufacture, health tourism, training Sudanese cadres and dispatch of health teams to specialized hospitals for the treatment of Sudanese patients in the country.
The minister has expressed readiness to cooperate with those countries and to remove any obstacles that would hinder the cooperation.
The Minister commended the efforts exerted by the ambassador to open new horizons of cooperation between the Sudan and those countries from his station in Geneva, Switzerland, calling for more such efforts for cooperation and investment in the health domain in the Sudan.
