Khartoum, Nov. 12 (SUNA) The First Vice President of the Republic, the National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has inspected, Sunday, the progress of work in the Sudan's Sports City in Khartoum, chairing the 6th meeting of the city's Board of Directors.
76% of the work in the city was completed, and it will be inaugurated in the coming revolution's festivals.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdul Kareem Musa, noted in press statements that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sports City was assigned for the inspection of percentage of accomplished work in preparation for the for its inauguration in the coming festivals of the salvation revolution, indicating that most of works were about to be finished.
He noted that the concrete works were accomplished by 100%, while the finishing touches have reached 90% of the work, and 98% of the internal roads asphalt was finished, pointing to the ongoing work in the green areas.
The Director General of the project of the Sports City, Mohamed Ahmed al-Zeen, stated that the sports city capacity more than 45,000 spectators, and is considered an Olympic Stadium that includes all kinds of sport except camel, and cars racing. He stressed that the work is done with high quality and, international specifications that conforms to the specifications of the Federation International Football Association (FIFA).
