Al-Obied, Dec. 7 (SUNA) -A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Water Resources, Energy and Minerals at the North Kordofan State and KCP Company in the field of alternative solar energy.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Water Resources, Energy and Minerals Engineer Homaida Hamad Homaida and the State Headquarters Commissioner Yousuf Al-Sheikh Adam. The Ministry's Acting Director-General Saeed Al-Mahdi Saeed signed on behalf of the ministry while the Company Commissioner Engineer Ibrahim Abdul-Gadir Ibrahim signed for the company.
The minister welcomed the developmental step that serves the state's people, pointing out that North Kordofan is one of the leading states in the field of solar energy, particularly that the state enjoys advantages and resources that enable it to indigenize the industry of solar energy. He pointed to the state's orientations towards alternative and renewable energy for achieving sustainable development.
For his part, the Company Commissioner explained that the aim of the project was to contribute to the service of the state in the field of water projects and electricity, especially that the state after the Renaissance Campaign has become attractive to investors.
