Khartoum, April 2 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, pointed out that Sudan has given a special concern to strengthening its relations with the neighboring countries.
Addressing the National Legislature Monday, President Al-Bashir said that Sudan has employed the Presidency diplomacy for achieving a qualitative progress in the relations with sister Egypt on the bases of clarity, transparency, the exchanged interests, guaranteeing the national sovereignty and non-intervention in the internal affairs.
He said that Sudan has continued its efforts for enhancing its relations with Chad and the Central African Republic via joint efforts for keeping security at the joint border areas.
President Al-Bashir said that Sudan has determined its unshakable position on support to the immediate cessation of the unhuman war in South Sudan State, stressing the importance of solution of the differences through serious dialogue under the umbrella of IGAD and the African Union.
He indicated that Sudan has launched an initiative for establishing an economic grouping of the Horn of Africa countries, explaining that a summit in this connection would be held by the end of April 2018.
President Al-Bashir also pointed to successful endeavors of the Presidency diplomacy and visits of the President of the Republic and his two deputies for building strategic relations with China, Russia and Turkey.
