Britain Embassy to Khartoum Celebrates Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II

Khartoum, June 21 (SUNA) - The Embassy of Britain to Khartoum Thursday celebrated the Diamond Jubilee for coronation of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II, in the presence of a big number of political and social figures, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Sudan, leaders of the civil society and the British community in Sudan.
The celebration was addressed by the Charge d'Affaires to Sudan, Tony Brennan, who appreciated the strong and historic relations between Sudan and Britain, affirming that these relations are witnessing progress.
A documentary exhibition on the visit paid by Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II to Sudan in the year 1965 was given during the celebration.
