NISS in Blue Nile State organizes workshop on repatriation of Refugees, sustainability of Peace


Al-Damazain, August 10 (SUNA)- The Wali (Governor) of Blue Nile State, Maj. Gen. Al-Hadi Bushra Hassan, addressed a workshop organized by the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) on repatriation of Refugees and sustainability of peace in the State, in presence of the federal State Minister at the Ministry of Development of Human Resources Ahmed Karmino.

He commended the role of the NISS in organizing the workshop as well as involvement of the native administration as part of the efforts to realize peace, hailing the contributions of the people of Blue Nile State.

The Workshop discussed three working papers on Native Administration and its role in the repatriation of Refugees and sustainability of peace, presented by the Chief of all-tribes of Blue Nile State Dr. Yosuf Al-Mac Hassan Adhlan, the Preparation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and NGOs for stability of refugees, presented by Minister of Social care and Humanitarian Affairs Hussein Yassin, and the role of the regular forces in the stability of security and absorbing of returnees, presented by the Commander of the 4th Command, Maj.Gen. Adam Haroun.

The workshop issued number of recommendations, stressing the importance of maintaining the security of the State and rejected recognition of the North Sector of the Popular Movement and entrusted the native administration with the maintaining of the social fabric of the State.

Meanwhile, the participants in the Workshop, from the political parties and native administration, agreed to take part in the negotiations of Addis Ababa on condition that the points of view of the People of Blue Nile State should be included in the negotiations paper as well as selecting representatives of political parties and civil society organizations. They also categorically rejected the participation of Yasir Arman and Walid Hamid in the negotiations on behalf of the State.
