Dr. Al-Khider: Workers Food Basket one of Intervention Mechanisms to Fight Sugar Mafia

Khartoum, June 21 (SUNA) - Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Khider has affirmed that the Workers Food Basket , which was launched this morning is one of the intervention mechanisms established by the state to fight the sugar Mafia, adding that the price liberalization of sugar was based on a realistic study showed that the subsidies provided by the state for sugar commodity do not benefit the citizens, but goes to the pockets of the Mafia that monopoly sugar and smuggle it out of the country .
Dr. Al-Khider addressing the celebration marking the launching the Workers Food Basket, Thursday, said Khartoum State and the Sudan Workers Trade Union Federation(SWTUF) will continue their efforts to alleviate burden on citizens .
