Minister of Oil meets American Charge d'Affaires in Sudan
Khartoum, August 8 (SUNA) - The Minister of Oil Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz has reviewed boosting of economic relations between Sudan and the United States of America during a meeting he held, at his office Wednesday, with the American Charge d'Affaires in Sudan Ambassador Joseph D. Stafford.
Dr. Al-Jaz acquainted Stafford with the various investment opportunities in Sudan, particularly in oil sector.
The meeting discussed the issues of the two Sudan states. Dr. Al-Jaz said that the situations between the two sides progressed in a good manner after the recent agreement which would be followed by agreements on the other pending issues.
The Minister of Oil assured the American Charge d'Affaires on the calmness of security situations and stability of humanitarian conditions in the states of Blue Nile and Southern Kordofan, pointing out that the two states are not disputable with the State of South Sudan.
For his part, the U.S Charge d'Affaires to Sudan welcomed the agreement between Sudan and South Sudan on the issue of oil, hoping that the two sides reached to a solution for all issues of conflict, praising calmness of the security conditions in the adjacent states.
The ambassador Stafford said that his country's government was concerned with the humanitarian situations at the states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile as well as the talks between Sudan and South Sudan in Addis Ababa.
