President Al-Bashir to inaugurate several projects associated with the White Nile Sugar Factory Wednesday

Al-Dewaim, July 10 (SUNA) - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir is due to inaugurate Wednesday the White Nile Sugar Factory and a number of associated projects and industries.
The General Manager of the White Nile Factory Engineer Ali Al=Sayid explained to SUNA that the sugar industry is considered as a bridge for great deal of industries and a foundation of development in the developing countries, pointing out that the factory will be a source of food and energy besides sugar production where fodders, animal production, ethanol and electricity are to be produced.
Engineer Al-Sayid announced that the factory would produce 104 megawatt/hour of electricity from which it consumes about 50% for its operation, camps, irrigation systems and pumps and the other 50% to be sent to the National Electricity Corporation.
He added that the factory would also produce 170,000 tons of of Molasses help to produce 50 million liters of pure ethanol with a purity of 9.99%, pointing out that the plant will produce through the green harvesting cane about 1,000,000 tons of green fiber that is to be packaged in bales for marketing as fodder for animals and the liquid waste is to be recycled in order to preserve the environment ,to use it in cultivation of forests in support of the green belt project in the region and to provide materials for construction.
