Sudan takes part in World Organization for Consumer Rights’ meetings

Khartoum, September 20 (SUNA) – The Member of the World Consumer Organization Council and the Representative of the Sudanese Society for Consumer Protection Dr. Yassir Mirghani participated at the World Consumer Organization meetings held in London during 16-19 of the current September. Dr. Mirghani said, in a press statement, that the main points discussed in the meeting were the sustainable food and energy for all, reduction of the use of plastic and consumer awareness in addition to the use of the artificial intelligence technology, the Internet of things and e-commerce. He pointed out to the extensive discussion made on the World Consumer Day 15 March 2020 as a test year for the Sustainable Development Goals where the sustainable consumer has been selected as the motto for World Consumer Rights Day 2020.
