Sudan to Partake in Russia – Africa Summit in Sochi

 Khartoum, Oct. 20 (SUNA) - Sudan will participate in the sessions of the Russian – African Summit, set to take place in Sochi, Russia, during October 23 - 24 by a high-level delegation to be led by Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council.

The expert in international relations, Dr. Usama Mohamed, said in a statement to SUNA that Sudan's participation in this summit would provide an ample opportunity to reflect the major political transformations that Sudan is undergoing, especially after success of the glorious December revolution  and formation of  the transitional period's institutions, disclosing that the participation event would be a chance for Sudan acquaint with its  tremendous potentialities in the areas of economic resources and investment opportunities.

He called for intensifying efforts to encourage foreign companies to invest in Sudan via reform ofthe  investment laws and providing a favourable environment to ensure the flow of foreign investments into the country.

Dr. Usama has pointed to the close cooperation between Khartoum and Moscow, referring to the exchange of visits between the officials in the two countries and their role in cementing the bilateral  relations.
