Sudan Participates in 31st Meeting of Parties to Montreal Protocol

Rome, Nov. 8 (SUNA) Sudan is participating in the 31st Meeting of the Parties of the Montreal Protocol, currently held in Rome, Italy, from 4-8 November, with a high-level delegation under the patronage of the Sudanese Ambassador in Rome Abdel Wahab Mohamed Hegazy.
The Sudan’s delegation to the meetings includes Prof.  Najat Mohamed Mahmoud Adam and Eng. Khalid Mohi- Elddin as representatives of the Ozone Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the office is affiliated  to the Supreme Council for Environment and Natural Resources.

The Sudan’s delegation has actively made contributions to all global and regional issues, and has presented the success of the Sudanese people's peaceful revolution as a model for the world’s nations, and its capability to turn the page of darkness of the old regime that has been decisive in power for thirty years.

The delegation indicated the support of the transitional government to all issues related to the environment, health and safety, which would enhance all the related activities.
The conference is scheduled to conclude its activities with a closing session Friday, and issues its outputs in support of environmental and safety issues.
