Animal Exportation to Saudi Arabia to be Resumed in March

Khartoum Feb.13(SUNA)- Minister  of Animal Resources , Fisheries and Pastures  Dr Alam- Eddin Abbashar  disclosed  that  efforts  being exerted  to resume  exportation of animals to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  miad-March  as  part of a plan set by the Ministry.

 This  came during an extended   meeting  held Thursday  and  drew representatives  of  Export Chamber, Ministry of  Finance,  Central Bank of Sudan, , Ministry of Trade, Federal Health  Ministry  and Customs Corporation .

 The Minister  said  that the Ministry is endeavoring  to  establish  modern  slaughterhouses  at production areas  meeting  the  international  terms and  standards, calling  for further cooperation with partners  to increase   the production  and  productivity  for transitional government.

 Representative of Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning  Intisar Hamid  pointed to importance of animal  exports  in  providing the country with hard currency, referring  to  importance of rehabilitation  of quarantines  that conform with international standards.

 Representative  of Central Bank of Sudan  Hadia Mustafa  stated that the Central Bank  engaged  exporters  and importers  in drawing up  the 2020  export policies , put encouraging policies  for  exporters  and that  90 percent of   export  revenues goes to  exporter.

 Representative of the Export Chamber   commended efforts made  by Ministry  of Animal Resources  and stressed  that the  Chamber will cooperate  with the  transitional government.
