Sudan Welcomes Decision of German Parliament

Khartoum, Feb.13 (SUNA) - The Transitional Government affirmed ts full commitment to move from the humanitarian aid stage to creation of strategic sustainable development partnerships based on the comprehensive development in cooperation with regional and international partners to support national economy.

The government in statement issued, Thursday, announced that it looks forward to work with the German government to promote the development cooperationand economic partnership in many fields, top of which, energy, mining and infrastructure.

The decision comes in the context of the German concern over Sudan following the success of the revolution, where, the German government sent a number of technical and official delegations to support the requirements of the stage in accordance with the priorities of the the Transitional government.

The German parliament, in 1989 issued a decree suspending the development cooperation with Sudan due to the breaking out of the civil war.
