JICA Provides $16 Million for collection and Treatment of Solid Waste in Sudan

 Khartoum Oct 25 (SUNA)- Sudan Government and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed, on Sunday, at the agency premises in Khartoum an agreement of providing a16 million dollars grant from The Japanese Government. . 

The grant allocated for the Cleaning Sudanese Cities Project in a form of equipment tocllect and treat solid waste in the country. 

The Secretary General of Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources(HCENR) Prof. Rashid Maki Hassan signed for Sudan government while JICA representative in Khartoum signed for the Japanese Government.

 Prof. Hassan explained that the project targeted, Khartoum, Red Sea and North Kordofan states.

 JICA representative in Khartoum, on his part, expressed his great happiness for signing the grant, commending Sudan's role that led to the success of the previous project hoping for realization of maximum benefiting from the provided equipment for the new projec.
