
Khartoum, May 17 (SUNA) - The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim Muhammad has visited the Red Sea Customs Directorate.
He was received by Gen. Police Hasab Al-Karim Adam Al-Nour, Director of Customs Forces, in the presence of Maj. Gen. Police Hashim Muhammad Muhammad Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Director of the Directorate, and the directors of departments at the Red Sea Customs Directorate.
During the meeting he held in the directorate's meeting hall, the minister stressed the great role that the customs forces have been playing in achieving the budget segment given to them by collecting customs duties despite the exceptional circumstances the country is going through. The minister gave directives on facilitation of procedures and increase of work periods whenever necessary, adding that the citizen needs the flow of necessary and strategic goods.
The minister praised the role of the customs forces in keeping pace with global technical development in areas related to customs work, pointing to the importance of cooperation with clients and concerted efforts to achieve economic development. BH/BH
