Khartoum, Oct. 2 (SUNA) - The Sudanese Embassy in Cairo has confirmed the release of the Sudanese student, Walid Abdul-Rahman Hassan Suleiman, who will leave Cairo to Khartoum on Wednesday evening by a TARCO plane with the Consul, Khaled Mohamed Ali, and the Counselor Alaa-Eddin Fouad Suleiman.

In a statement, the embassy assured the family of Walid and the Sudanese people that he is in good health and that he is with the embassy.

The Charge d’Affaires and Plenipotentiary at the embassy, Idris Mohamed Ali, said that the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by the Minister Asmaa Mohamed Abdalla, and the Undersecretary, Ambassador Siddiq Abdel Aziz, have been following the case with concern and have guided the Embassy in its active moves, along with the follow-up related to the work at the Departments of Consulates and Community Affairs and Egypt Affairs.

He described the Sudanese - Egyptian relations as of a special nature stemming from the various commonalities that link together the peoples of the two countries, calling for further strengthening to these ties to achieve the interests of both countries and the two brotherly peoples.
