Khartoum, Dec. 22 (SUNA) The director of the Sudan Institute for Democracy, Sadig Ali Hassan, has asserted intention to establish a legal platform for the discussion of the country’s constitutional issues. He noted in press statements, Tuesday,  to the idea as an outcome of  work forum organized by the institute in cooperation with the Darfur Lawyers Authority, the  organization of "Together in Service of Humanity", the Sudanese lawyer group, and the University of Colombia held yesterday at Al- Salam Rotana Hotel during which it was clear the existence of r essential gaps in the constitutional document in effect, in which it may arise legal controversy regarding the inclusion of the Juba Peace Agreement,  the absence of a constitutional court.

It is worth noting that the constitutional establishment workshop, which was held on Sunday at Al- Salam Rotana Hotel through Zoom technology, was addressed by Maulana Hassan Sheikh Idris Gazi, the member of the Sovereign Council, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affairs of the State of Canada in Sudan Ambassador Adrian Norfolk, representatives of some diplomatic missions in Khartoum and the participation of national experts from inside and outside Sudan.
