Khartoum, Jan. 20 (SUNA) – The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and General Commander of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan has renewed Sudan stance that it does not want to go to war with Ethiopia or with any of the neighboring countries, but it will not abandon an inch of its territory.

In a briefing he gave Wednesday at the Armed Forces’ General Command to the officers at the ranks of Major General and Brigadier, Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan affirmed the desire of Sudan to reach an agreement that preserves its legitimate rights and put marks on the ground indicating that what the Armed Forces has done was the deployment of the army Inside Sudanese territories.

He said that the Armed Forces carried out this operation in full coordination with the political sector in the state.

He saluted the struggle of the Armed Forces in defending the homeland and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded personnel, lauding the stand of the Sudanese people alongside the Armed Forces in defending the homeland.
