Khartoum, Feb. 22 (SUNA) – The Council of the Transitional Period’s Partners, chaired by the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, Monday held its eights meeting at the Republican Palace, and reviewed in depth and details axes of the political vision for the transition and the priorities of the transitional government.

In a press statement, the spokesperson of the council. Dr. Mariam Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi said that the meeting witnessed the exchange of visions on the different national issues.

She explained that the participants have agreed on the importance of commitment to the productive national work which is based on transparency, credibility and respect of the other opinion and the importance of preserving the stability, unity and sovereignty of the country and safeguarding the dignity of its people.

She indicated that the meeting has agreed on general guidelines to serve as a framework for the second transitional government, according to which the government programs are to be formulated and implemented them under the leadership and supervision of the Prime Minister.

She indicated that the meeting has discussed a report of the committee for determining and classifying states and the criteria for selecting the Walis (governors) of the states.
