Khartoum, Mar. 5 (SUNA) - The Darfur Bar Association noted that it had received a letter from the African Commission for Human and Peoples' Rights of the African Union (ACHPR) in response to its request, which was registered by its former Secretary for Studies and Research, Nasr El Din Abdel Bari, in 2016, to complete the application documents for observer status.

The DBA indicated in a statement today that it will start completing the liabilities.

The statement noted that the association will present to the (ACHPR) its observations on the negative impact of the delay in obtaining the observer status for five years since the request was submitted, despite the DBA’s cooperation with the (ACHPR) in the African Union.
