Khartoum, April 25 (SUNA)-  Sudan marks the World Intellectual Property Day tomorrow , April 26, .2021

 World Intellectual Property Day 2021 shines a light on the critical role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the economy and how they can use intellectual property (IP) rights to build stronger, more competitive and resilient businesses.

Small and medium-sized enterprises take center stage at this year’s celebration of World Intellectual Property Day.

WIPO said that SMEs account for 90% of all companies worldwide and 70% of global employment. That's why World 2021 celebrations is carrying the theme "IP and SMEs: Taking your ideas to market of the global economy and an engine for growth in a post-pandemic world.

Secretary General of the Council for Copyright of Literary and Artistic Works Advocate Hatim Elyas Mousa said that the Sudan would present at the backdroup of its glorius Revolution big works at the World Intellectual Property Day, Monday, April 26, top of which reactivation of its membership in World Intellectual Properity Organization (WIPO) besides the Jordan-based Arab Intellectual Properity Organization.

He added that the celebrations of World Intellectual Property Day also include programs through the media to educate the public about laws and benefits of intellectual property for all producers and artists in the country, and a proposal to establish  an office for the protection of copyrights that cover thousands of beneficiaries.
