Khartoum, April28 (SUNA) – Minister of Energy and Oil, Jadain Ali received, Wednesday, at his office, the Canadian Ambassador to Sudan.
The meeting discussed the Sudanese-Canadian cooperation in the field of oil industry and the investment in the oil field in Sudan.
The minister welcomed the visit of the Canadian Ambassador and briefed him on a number of gas productions and the increase of oil production, expressing the government’s confidence on cooperation with Canada which he described as historical.
The Canadian diplomat said the visit comes to affirm the support of his country to the democratic transition process in Sudan.
“Canada has actually started new development programs in Sudan and support programs for poor families with 10 million Canadian dollars and 6 million Canadian dollars for UNICEF programs to support schools with sterilization equipment to confront the Corona pandemic, while continuing a number of humanitarian and development projects in Sudan” the Ambassador indicated.
The Ambassador underlined that that a number of oil industry institutions in Canada have the desire to cooperate with Sudan in providing oil production services.
