Khartoum, April 30 (SUNA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement on developments in the Palestinian territories.

the statement indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following with great concern the unfortunate developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the renewal of confrontations and attacks by the Israeli police and Jewish extremists on the defenseless Palestinian citizens in East Jerusalem and the surrounding areas, Ramallah, Nablus and other areas in the West Bank. .

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned in its statement in strongest terms, the repeated acts of violence and incitement of the Israeli police on the Palestinians who pray since the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan, and the escalation of hate speech and provocations on the part of extremist Jewish groups that especially aimed at changing the Arab, Islamic, Christian, religious identity and the existing historical and legal status of East Jerusalem.

The Foreign Ministry has also called on the Israeli government to assume its full responsibility and to comply with international and humanitarian law in providing protection for Palestinian civilians and to stop the campaign of hatred, racism and violence against them.

The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the Sudan renews its steadfast position towards the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, especially their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions.
