Khartoum, May4 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan received at his office, in the Republican Palace today the visiting US Congress delegation headed by Senator Christopher Coons, member of the Foreign Relations Committee, at the Senate accompanied by Senator Chris Van Hollen. 

The meeting discussed ways and means of boosting bilateral relations between the two countries.

Al-Burhan briefed the US Senators on Sudan vision on resolving differences in the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam dossier through dialogue to reach solutions acceptable to all parties besides, border issues with neighboring Ethiopia.

He affirmed allowing the voluntary organizations  to provide services to the camps of Ethiopian refugees in eastern Sudan.

The US delegation, on its part, commended the role being assumed by the TSC President in leading the transition in Sudan, affirming the US support to the transitional period besides, helping Sudan to reintegrate into the regional and international communities.
