Khartoum, May 14 (SUNA) - The French Ministry of Education has decided to include the novel of (The Drowning - tales of oppression and amiability) written by the Sudanese novelist Hamoor Ziadah, in the French universities distinguished program "Al-Tabriz" studies of students for the 2022-2023 academic years.
The French universities distinguished program began in France in 1766 as a competition for subjects taught in higher and school education, such as mathematics and languages, and in 1906 the Arabic language was added to the subjects of the program, which is the highest national competition for education in France.
Novelist Ziadah noted in comment on the selection of his novel: “ I am very happy that my newest novel was chosen with the novel of Abdul-Aziz Barakah Sakin on the subject of contemporary Arabic literature in "Al-Tabriz". “This is a distinguished year for Sudanese literature par excellence in France” he added.
It is worth noting that the novel “The Christ of Darfur,” by the novelist Abdul- aziz Baraka Sakin, was also included in the course of the French universities distinguished program "Al-Tabriz" studies, on which Baraka commented on that, saying: "Someone really cares."
