Paris, May 17 (SUNA) – The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, pointed out that Sudan is looking forward for support of the international community to the peace building in Sudan.
This came in his address Monday to the Paris Conference for Support to the Democratic Transformation in Sudan, in the presence of the Prime Minster, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, the President of Egypt, Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi, the President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, the President of Rwanda, Paul Kigame, the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Dr. Moussa Faki, along with a number of senior officials, ambassadors and representatives of more than 40 countries.
Al-Burhan affirmed Sudan support the efforts for boosting the regional peace and security.
He asserted Sudan commitment to all the international charters and conventions, the human rights, good neighborliness and the regional and international cooperation.
Al-Burhan pointed out that the partnership between the components of the transitional period is moving ahead and progressing in confident pace, explaining that the arrangements for the transitional period are proceeding well and in confidence to achieve the slogan of freedom, peace and justice.
He said that Sudan moving ahead in the right track by its return to the international community, implementation of various reforms at different sectors, realization of peace, stating that the Armed Forces is the guarantor of the democratic transition and the Sudanese revolution.
He affirmed Sudan keenness to combat terrorism and the cross-border crimes.
