Khartoum, June 7 (SUNA) – The Regional Representative of the Spanish League (La Liga), visited, today, the Meroe Pyramids in the context to his visit to Sudan to strengthen cooperation in football fields.

 "It is an honor to be able to visit such a wonderful and historically important place as the pyramids of Meroe," said Juan. "I thank the Embassy of Spain for all the support I have received." He said.

The regional representative of the League had visited Khartoum for a week. During the visit, he held a meeting with the Sudanese Football Association and its president, Kamal Shaddad, where possible ways of cooperation between the two sides were identified.

 He also met with the National Team Committee of the Sports for All Federation and the Women’s Football Committee, as well as with companies and authorities Interested in LaLiga projects in the region.

 In addition, a symposium was held at Al-Ittihad headquarters with clubs including Al-Hilal and Al-Marikh, where the academy's strategy to become a leading institution in the world of football was explained, and Juan described the visit as fruitful, and praised the Sudanese people's hospitality.

The Spanish Ambassador to Khartoum, Alberto Othlay, commented the visit, saying, "It gives me great pleasure to receive and support Spanish institutions related to the Sudanese, such as LaLiga, in their visit to Khartoum to explore ways of cooperation.
