Khartoum, June 9 (SUNA) – The Minister of Agriculture, Prof. Al-Taher Harbi, Wednesday discussed with the Ambassador of Belarus aspects of agricultural cooperation, means of facilitating the exchange of agricultural commodities and the transfer of expertise in the field of equipment and training, in the context of the cooperation files between Sudan and.

The meeting touched on the ways to strengthen the relations between Sudan and Belarus in the field of training, graduate and university studies and the provision of appropriate technologies to help in raising productivity and promoting production in Gezira Scheme and in the technology transfer centers and reactivating the cooperation files between the two countries by convening the joint technical committee, which is scheduled to be held shortly.

The Minister of Agriculture gave a briefing about his recent visit to Belarus, where he was informed on the latest developments in the industry and technology of agricultural equipment fields.

The Belarusian Ambassador stressed the importance of consolidating the bilateral relations and joint cooperation in the agricultural field, especially in sustainable development, and expressed his hope that Sudanese agricultural products would reach the Belarusian market.
