Khartoum, Sept. 12 (SUNA) – The Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, has affirmed keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on enhancing its economic, commercial and investment relations with Sudan for realizing mutual interests, referring to directives by the government of the Kingdom to discuss investment opportunities in Sudan in the fields of energy, infrastructures, agriculture and telecommunication.

On his part, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Prof. Al-Tahir Harbi, addressing the opening session of the Sudanese-Saudi Investment Fourm at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum today, appreciated the Saudi support to Sudan and the transition process in the country, referring to the contributions of the Kingdom to the Khartoum-based Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD).

He pointed out that the Saudi investments in Sudan are successful, especially in the fields of agriculture, forestry and animal resources, calling for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the field of development and investments.
