Port-Sudan, Sep. 13 (SUNA) - The Rapid Support Forces at the Red Sea Sector, have detected a quantity of explosives in the Qabbul area, southern of Suakin, the Red Sea State, which included 69 anti-tank (B-10) anti-aircraft and armored personnel carriers’ shells, after arrival of information to the sector’s command.
The Wali (governor) of the Red Sea State, Engineer Abdalla Shingray, has seen the detected explosives, in the presence of the commander of the Rapid Support Forces at the Red Sea Sector.
The state’s Wali (governor) has appreciated the great patriotic role of the Rapid Support Forces in keeping security and stability, protecting the nation’s gains, in addition to their pioneering role in the social field, siding with citizens' issues, and supporting efforts for achieving peaceful coexistence and communication between the components of society.
On his part, Commander of the Rapid Support Forces in the Red Sea Sector, Lt. Col. Dr. Rami Adam Al-Tayeb, said that the seizure of weapons came within the framework of the qualitative work of the Rapid Support Forces to maintain the security and stability of the country and the society.
He indicated that the seizure of weapons proves alert of the Rapid Support Forces and their readiness to confront the security threats facing the country.
He stressed the concern of the Rapid Support Forces with the citizens’ issues withing the context of the societal responsibility of the Rapid Support Forces.
