Khartoum, Sep. 20 (SUNA) – The prosecutor Mohamed Ibrahim who investigated in the case of the martyr Mahjoub Al-Taj, the student at Al-Razi University – Faculty of Medicine, said that he was briefed by the second defendant, Ali Osman, on the work of the Operations Department of the Security and Intelligence Service after he showed the video about the elements of this administration while they were chasing and beating the students.
The investigator said at the court seeing the case of martyr Mahjoub Al-Taj on Monday that the systematic beatings carried out by the personnel of the Operations Department of the Security and Intelligence Service led to the death of the martyr Mahjoub Al-Taj, and the injury of a number of students.
The defence side has submitted a request to the court to strengthen the oath for the investigator on the pretext that their accused clients do not trust the performance and statements of the investigator that he gives to the court.
The court set next Monday as date for a sitting to hear the complainant’s statements.
At the court’s sitting, the young fellow students of martyr Al-Taj Mahjoub, supported by resistance committees, continued their chants (blood is for blood, we do not accept Diyya (blood money).
