 Khartoum, Sept. 29  (SUNA) – The Sudan's participation in Dubai’s  2020 Expo which comes after the glorious December revolution, is a good opportunity to introduce Sudan's resources in various sectors, under the motto (Sudan the land of endless opportunities).

Following the World Bank support to Sudan, the UAE support for the Sudan’s pavilion in the exhibition, the provision of (14) billion dollars from the Paris Club, and the efforts made to include Sudan in the program of the Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC),  the benefit from the exhibition of the Sudan’s Friends Conference recently held in Paris,  the Expo 2020 Dubai represents great opportunity to attract investments inside and outside the Sudan.

The First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Rashid Saeed, noted during the launching of he media campaign for the Sudan’s exhibition website at the Ministry of Information recently, that Sudan’s has provided (4) million dollars for the exhibition’s works and internal arrangements Sudan pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, pointing to the complex period due to the actions of the former regime.

Al- Rashid commended the reference of the Dubai Expo file to the Ministry of Commerce, pointing to the high cost during the exhibition six months period, adding that the exhibition will be managed by Sudanese citizens residing in the Gulf, with a private activity on the Sudan’s Independence Day and the Sudanese-Emirati Friendship Day.

The Sudan’s participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, is which comes after the December revolution, and the exclusion of Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, as well as the government’s hard work to integrate Sudan into the global economy according to the Commissioner-General of Sudan Expo, Nbawiya Mohamed Mahjoub, who the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Supply Nadir Al-Rayeh affirmed that the exhibition will be a great opportunity to attract investments to Sudan.

The exhibition will witness the participation of 191 countries, along with 550,000 companies, a matter which would allow the good benefit of the business community during the event.

Nbawiy has indicated keenness to introduce the Sudan’s honorable face in the event, pointing to the opportunities of exchanging experiences, visions and understandings between the Sudanese businessmen and their counter parts from other countries.

She stressed the identification and evaluation of the opportunities and positive results achieved for the public and private sectors, expressing hope that the achievements will be made for the benefit of the national economic sector, adding that the exhibition is an opportunity to shed light  on the youths talents, capabilities and inventions.

The director of the National Information Center, Ammar Al-Fateh Hamadeen, pointed to the Sudan’s pavilion in the Expo as an opportunity to present the Sudan’s economic and social bright image, stressing the importance of coordination and concerted efforts to achieve the exhibition goals.

Meanwhile, the Representative of the Media Committee of the Exhibition's Higher Committee, Shadia Junedabi, asserted the importance of the exhibition in achieving economic and social progress in the country in the context of the technological revolution that contributed to strengthening peoples' relations.

She pointed to the exhibition as an opportunity to present investment opportunities in the country to reach global sustainable solutions, stressing the publication of the exhibition news on the media and daily newspapers.

The Emirate of Dubai is preparing for the launching of the “Expo 2021 Dubai”, the one of the largest commercial and economic events held during the Corona pandemic, and is expected to attract about 25 million visitors.

Meanwhile, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, assured the preparations for the launch of Expo 2021 Dubai.

He twitted: "We assure everyone that the experience that the world will witness at the Expo will be unprecedented, and that the UAE and Dubai will be up to the global event. And that the six months in which 191 countries will meet with us will remain in the world memory."

Regarding the health arrangements, many instructions were issued, urging visitors over the age of 18 to submit proof of any vaccination approved by the governments of their countries or a negative PCR test result, provided that the examination was conducted 72 hours before the visit date at most.

The Expo 2020 Dubai ticket holders who are not immunized and who did not undergo a corona examination during the specified period where called on to use the examination center located near the Expo 2020 Dubai site, and this will also be available at a later time in a number of examination centers in the city of Dubai, and will be found on the Expo website, while the examination will be free upon presentation of a valid Expo 2020 Dubai ticket.

The UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, noted that the updating of vaccination and examination requirements allows all visitors to enjoy a wonderful experience in a safe environment that guarantees their safety.

It is worth noting that Expo 2020 Dubai is to be organized as part of the International Expos, hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates during the period from the first of next October, 2021 to March 31, 2022, and the “Expo” international exhibitions provide a platform to introduce the most important innovations that shaped the features of the world we know today.
