Port-Sudan, Oct. 16 (SUNA) - The delegation of the United Nations the UN Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) Saturday concluded its four-day visit to the Red Sea State.

 In a media statement at the end of the visit in the Peace Hall in Port-Sudan, the head of the delegation, Ms. Stephanie Korry, reviewed the visit program, which included several meetings with all the executive, political, social, cultural components, the civil society organizations, youth and women sectors, resistance committees, leaders of the native administration and the Sea Ports Corporation in Port-Sudan, in addition to the meeting with the Higher Council of Beja Chieftains in Sinkat.

She said that the delegation heard the opinions and views of all the components on the concerns and issues of eastern Sudan, especially the marginalization, development and services.

Stephanie pointed out that all components that they met have focused on the importance of comprehensive dialogue and the involvement of all the components in addressing the issues of the East and decision-making and the formation of state institutions and the preservation of the future of democracy and sustainable development.

Ms. Stephanie did not refer to the opinions of the components in the state about the effects of the closure of the port and the national road Port-Sudan - Khartoum.
