Khartoum, Oct 24 (SUNA) – The Ministry of Culture and Information has strongly condemned the storming of the premises of the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Saturday, Oct 23 to prevent holding of the press conference of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC).

The ministry in statement issued, Saturday, also, condemns the attempt of another group to close the southern entrance to the buildings of the Ministry of Culture and Information to prevent the ministry from performing its duties after the northern and eastern entrances to the ministry were closed since the beginning of last week due to the expansion of a sit-in organized in front of the Republican Palace.

“The remnants of the defunct regime, also threatened to storm the building of the Public Corporation for Radio and TV” the statement said.

The statement calls for ending this unruly act that hinders democracy and distorts freedoms, urging the regular bodies to play their role in protecting government headquarters and institutions and ensuring that they continue to perform their work and tasks without disrupting or sabotaging.
