Khartoum, Nov. 15 (SUNA) – Acting Undersecretary for Planning at the Ministry of Finance Dr. Amin Saleh has affirmed the importance of unleashing energies of youth to develop the economic sector for realizing sustainable development in the country.

Saleh, addressing the launching ceremony today of the office of the Arab Youth Union for Creativity and Innovation of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States, pointed out that the office is necessary to contribute to addressing youth issues and training them to contribute to the development of the Sudanese economy.

The Honorary President of the Union, Dr. Iman Taj Al-Sir, explained that the aim of office is to implement plans to establish specialized research centers that include all scientific disciplines and partnerships to assist the researcher besides provision of finance for distinguished projects for their implementation.

The spokesman for the union, Mohamed Abdel-Gadir, pointed out that the office aims at sponsoring innovations of young people and funding them besides providing scholarships to them.

The general coordinator of the office, Salah Hassaballah, affirmed that the office targets adopting the ideas and experiences of young people in developing youth sectors and achieving their desires through development and creative projects, explaining that the office will provide a database for young innovators and provide them with opportunities for further training.
