Khartoum, Nov.18 (SUNA)-The technical committee assigned by the Ministry Finance and Economic Planning, chaired by spokesman of the ministry Ahmed Al-Sharif, has recently visited West Darfur state to assess the progress of work on sustainable villages project located at Kolobos Locality.   

The committee held meetings with the Secretary General of the state’s government, the General Director of the Ministry of Finance at the state and stakeholders where it affirmed the   importance of the project in sustainable development in West Darfur state.

The project is funded by Islamic Development Bank (IDB) at a cost of US$20 million and aims at developing livelihoods at Kolobos locality through providing, water service, health and  education services and the  agriculture.

 Following arrival back to Khartoum the Head of the Committee said today in statement to SUNA that the committee made field visit to the project and inspected work on drinking water, animal resources and health service projects besides visiting a number of schools.
