
Gedarif, Jan.5(SUNA)-The Acting Wali of Gedarif State, Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Mahgoub has underlined that the refugee camps in the State place a heavy burden and pressure on provision of basic services in the State a mid little assistance being provided by the organizations despite its many numbers in the State, demanding opening of an integrated refugee management office in the State
The Wali, during the press conference he held today, stated that the year 2022 will be decisive for the widespread organizations operating in the state, emphasizing that the rights of the State would not be neglected .
He said that the refugees inside the camps are now sharing the people of the State the basic services such as water and health, as well as damaging the environment by the excessive cutting of forests.
SUNA notes that Gedarif State is now hosting more than 45,000 refugees in the camps of Umm Rakouba, Al-Tunaidiba and Babikri in Bassonda locality, from the Tagari, Qumuz nationalisms.
