Khartoum, Jan 9 (SUNA) - The Transitional Sovereignty Council eulogized, today, Dr. Ali Hassan Taj al-Din, a member of the Head of State Council during the third democratic era “1986-1989,” and one of the prominent leaders of the Umma Party and a member of its Political Bureau 86-1989, who  passed away today in the Arab Republic of Egypt after a life full of great contributions to the process of national and societal work in various fields.

Dr. Ali Hassan Taj al-Din, the grandson of Sultan Bahr al-Din Sultan Dar Masalit, is considered one of those who dedicated themselves to serving national, political and humanitarian issues, and his contributions continued throughout his life.

 The deceased was born in the city of El Geneina in West Darfur in 1940, and obtained a doctorate in administrative sciences at the Sorbonne University in Paris, and a diploma from the International Institute for Management.
