Khartoum, June 11 (SUNA) - The court of plotters of June 1989 coup, trying ousted president Omer Al-Bashir and his accomplices, continues its sessions on the 25th. of current January, headed by the Supreme Court Judge Hon. Hussein Al-Jak Al-Sheikh as today's session was adjourned due to absence of court member Hon. Al-Rasheed Tayeb Al-Asmaa due to health reasons.

The head of the court said that ruling on the requests submitted by the defense, in which the court was scheduled to issue, has been postponed to the next session on Monday, the 25th of current January.

For his part, Khaled Ibrahim Ali, a lawyer from the defense committee for the defendants of the Popular Congress, among the accused of the plotters of the June 1989 coup, explained that the requests included a plea submitted by the defense team to exclude lawyers from outside the Public Prosecution from the membership of the prosecution panel in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Law, Article (136).

As for the other request, it was related to the release of some of the accused, namely Dr. Ali Al-Haj Mohamed, Ibrahim Al-Senussi and Omer Abdel-Maarouf, because there are no other reports against them, similar to some of the accused released on bail.
