Khartoum, Jan.14(SUNA)-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement  about what has been reported by  some media that there was a trend to deny   Sudan  right to vote at  UN  , because it  did not paid its financial contributions .

The Ministry affirmed in its statement that the financial procedures for paying the Sudan arrears  in the UNGA budget has completed.

The Ministry pointed out that Sudan was able to retain its voting rights  and its role  in the international  decision-making through engagement in the  multilateral diplomacy.

The Ministry  stressed that Sudan did not actually lose its voting rights  according to article (19)of the UN Charter.
