Khartoum, Jan. 19 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abul-Gasim Mohamed Ahmed Burtom, received in his office at the Republican Palace Wednesday the Ambassador of Kuwait to Sudan, Bassam Mohamed Al-Fendi, and discussed progress of the bilateral relations and ways of boosting the cooperation between the two countries in all domains, especially in the economic field, for the interest of the two brotherly countries.

 The Kuwaiti Ambassador said in a press statement that the Sudanese-Kuwaiti relations represent model for the ties between countries, referring to the historical ties between the two countries in the political, economic and cultural fields.

He said that they agreed on the importance of strengthening further the relations between Sudan and Kuwait, especially in the economic field.

Ambassador Bassam pointed out that the member of the Sovereignty Council has briefed him on the current political developments in the country, noting that the people of Sudan, with their keenness and patriotism, are able to overcome the stage that their country is going through.
