Khartoum, Jan. 26 (SUNA) – The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Saddiq, received in his office copies of the credentials of the new ambassadors of Libya and Spain.
The new Libyan Ambassador, Fawzi Abdul-Rahim Bu-Meraiz, affirmed his readiness to work for consolidation of the relations between Sudan and Libya, and to make maximum use of the advantage of good neighborliness for the benefit of the peoples of the two brotherly countries.
The Ambassador of Spain expressed his country's desire to strengthen further its relations with Sudan by continuing the work of the joint ministerial committees between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in both countries, and reactivating the work of other cooperation mechanisms as soon as possible.
The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs has praised the level of the Sudanese-Libyan and Sudanese-Spanish relations, expressing his aspiration to strengthen further Sudan relations with both the brotherly Libya and the friendly Kingdom of Spain, wishing the two ambassadors success in their missions and a good stay in Sudan.
He also received the Ambassador of Syria, Habib Abbas, on the occasion of the expiry of his assignment to Sudan.
The Syrian Ambassador appreciated the level of relations between the two brotherly countries, expressing his thanks to the government and people of Sudan for hosting the Syrian community in their second homeland, Sudan.
On his part, the minister praised the distinguished relations between Sudan and Syria, wishing the Syrian ambassador success in his future assignments.
