Khartoum, May 20 (SUNA) – The Sudan and China signed Yesterday, at the Friendship Hall a protocol for health cooperation.

According to the signed protocol the Sudan will receive medical aid through the Chinese Embassy in Khartoum.

The signing ceremony of the protocol was attended by the acting Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, and the Ambassador of China to Khartoum, Ma Xinmin, and a number of representatives of Sudanese and Chinese media.

Health Minister Dr. Haitham commended strength of the Sudanese-Chinese relations, thanking the Chinese government and its continuous support to the Sudan in the medical, industrial, agricultural and other fields.

The protocol included shipment of one million medical surgical masks, 450,000 N95 masks, 360 respirators and 13 dialysis machines.

The Chinese government has also promised to provide 20 million doses of the anti-Corona virus Sinopharma to Sudan.

Meanwhile China Ambassador in Khartoum underlined the eternal relationship between the two countries, asserting aspiration to cooperate with Sudan in various fields to serve the interests of both countries.
