Khartoum, May 25 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Al-Tahir Hajar, paid on Wednesday a visit to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation and got informed on the challenges and obstacles facing the performance of the telecommunications sector and digital transformation in Sudan.
He praised the Ministry’s role in the development of the national economy and reformation of the structures of state institutions through the digital transformation project, setting higher standards for transparency and control and increasing the efficiency of the government performance.
The member of the Sovereignty Council was informed during the visit on the ministry’s plans and projects in the field of digital transformation, expanding the coverage of the communication networks and their access to the areas of production and displacement, as well as the project to link databases in the country, the projects related to the infrastructures, the issues of democratization and the provision of services during the transitional period.
The acting Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Adel Hassan Mohamed Al-Hussein, indicated that he informed the Sovereignty Council member of the situation at the ministry, adding that the Sovereignty Council member promised to support the ministry in overcoming the impediments and facing the challenges.
