Khartoum, May 28 (SUNA) -The Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Ihlam Medani Sabil, has called for enhancement and increase of the Qatari investments in Sudan.

This came during her meeting in her office with Sudan Ambassador to Qatar, Ahmed Abdul-Rahman Suwar Al-Dahab.

The Minister explained the progress and reforms which were carried out by her ministry in the transitional government, represented in approval of the Investment Act for the year 2021 and the Act of Partnerships  with the Private Sector.

The Minister was also briefed by the Ambassador Suwar Al-Dahab on progress of the Sudanese - Qatari relations, which he described as distinguished, pointing to his keenness to consolidate the bilateral relations in different fields in the coming period.

The ambassador affirmed that efforts are continuing to increase the Qatari investments in Sudan, through joint work with the Ministry of Investment, the Sudanese Businessmen Union and the Qatari side.

The Minister of Investment emphasized her ministry’s readiness to solve all the problems and and obstacles facing all the investments in Sudan, especially the Qatari investments.

She underlines that her ministry gives priority to the Arab investments, especially the investments related to food security and energy, lauding the great role that Qatar plays in support of Sudan.
